كنا نستمع إلى الإذاعة البريطانية سرا ..فهي إحدى الإذاعات المعادية
فلم يكن متاحا لنا معرفة أخبار الدنيا إلا عن طري الصحف والإذاعة المحلية … فالتليفزيون وسيلة إعلامية جديدة ولا يعمل سوى ساعات محدودة ومحددة من اليوم ..والفضائيات غير موجودة
لم يكن أمامنا سوى المصدر الرسمي الجريدة وهيكل ..
غاب عنا ما يدور حولنا ..وما يجري بعيدا عنا ..حتى يونيو 1967..أوهمونا بالنصر وأكدوا عليه في اقسي وأفظع هزيمة تلقتها مصر في التاريخ
لم نحارب ..أو لم تتح لنا الفرصة للحرب ..لأننا أغلقنا بلدنا على أنفسنا ..فأصبحنا نساق ونظن أننا نسوق ونسابق الآخرين
وبعد نصر أكتوبر ..فتح السادات الأبواب والشبابيك المغلقة ..فتسببت الأضواء في فقد مؤقت لأبصار البعض .. ولذلك يكرهونه ويهاجمونه ويلعنون الانفتاح وأيامه السوداء .. لأننا رأينا الفساد في عز الظهر
حظ شباب مصر من المعرفة بات ضخما ..فلا شيء يخفى عليهم ولا شيء يحول دون بينهم والمعرفة الطوفانية
والصغار صاروا كبارا بالعلم
